P3Beauty Tea and other non related stuff...

GOOD MORNING!!!!

So its been a long while....*plays with fingers* yeeeaaahhh.....

I have no excuse. Well I do tend to get overwhelmed about one thing and then neglect all other things. Por ejamplo, I have my bass [guitar] I've been neglecting; although my good friend and teacher HARASSES me EVERY DAY to practice...ugh,  had to go on a hiatus from a choir that I love (and need in my life for the retainment of some vocal ability) *tear* #SorryJarrett, amoungst other things. :/ I'm still doing the children's choir with my bestie (PRAY CHURCH) and I'm still working full time. Speaking of which, I Sometimes think about working an extra day or partial shift here or there and then....I don't. LOL. Who wants to come in on their day off? *shrugs* Maybe when I have some motivation to make some extra mula for Specific goals...*hint hint*. ^__^

Cute right?? It was a small event held at Studio Wed in Atlanta. I can get down with small events!  Even an introvert like myself can talk/mingle with everyone in the room, Still not feel overwhelmed, and still manage to bump into people I know. LOL. *sidebar* I'm reading this book called The Introvert's Guide to Success in Business and Leadership. I'm Pretty sure it was free...I think it was only made for ebook formatting. I'm not exactly in the 'business' world per se, but you can take the ideals and apply them to whatever type of work or goals you're trying to accomplish. For all the introverts in the house, its a light and informative read. ;)

Back to the event. O_O Here are pics. Enjoy and such.

Don't remember their names but they were cool and had really great lipstick. O_O

MiMi of the P3Lab!! LOVED the color of her dress. (Pretty sure I have it in another color...O_O)

Alexandra Butler Ladies and Gentlemen. LOVE. HER. I was most excited to meet her and get some concealer tips. Subscribe to her on YT:Alexandrabond

Me and Nikki/Mae/Maeling of Natural Chica. She's Always super sweet. (I have that dress too in another color. O_O)

Ok THIS is the tea lady. She had samples of like 6 teas and tea cocktails...gurl...And she's Gorg.  I didn't write down her name! UGH.

Ok FIVE teas. I love all tea so I was probably the most excited person there. lol

Terica (sp?) from The Pursuit of Nappiness. SO PRETTY! Like her on FB. :)

Me and partner in crime Peace aka Gurlish Curls on Blogspot.  Subscribe to her!

I had some tea for the road. lol.

I was the only loc'ed person there. O___0

OH!! I almost forgot!! There was a woman there from a nail concierge business called LacquerLOVE.

FOUND THE INFO.

Praise vs Worship. Envy vs Complacency.

This post has been in draft status since JANUARY. *sigh* Think about the title though for a bit. What is praise to you? Does it equal worship? Are the terms interchangeable? Do you think of them only in reference to God?
Now, envy vs complacency. This is my personal struggle. At what point is the 'safe place' of being? Like, at what point do get to Envy if you see somebody do something or being good at something that You want to be good at? And at what point do you throw in the towel and say 'forget it, I'm just not good at this'? Should you ever? How long do you keep going? Is it ever ok to just...BE OK with whatever point you're at in life? And how do you not get to being Complacent or Lazy or Indifferent?

Just a few thoughts.

Happy Sabbath! ;)

Dyed hair pics, anniversaries and more!

I don't know how to attach photos from my mac. So I'm posting this on my phone. -___-
Yesterday was me and my boo's one year anniversary!!!!!!!!!
It. Was. Great.
Now, as some of you know, we don't live in the same state. Before I sojourned deeper into the south I had a few vital things to do: get my oil changed (which was Way too money but I paid for the convenience of not having to wait), change my air filter (got suckered into that but I figured it couldn't hurt), and GET MY EYEBROWS THREADED!!!
My plan of growing in my eyebrows always seems to interrupt my effort of trying be cute for some major event. And doing
Major concealing and shading this long weekend was not, Not about to happen. Nope. So. To save myself from looking crazy I got them done. The lady who did them never did Mine before but she was Greeeaaatt!!! I felt mosied on over to Patel Brothers and picked me up some fresh squeezed
Sugar cane juice with ginger and lime and took my happy tail to chattanooga to pick up AA. :)
Oh wait!!!!!! Midnight yesterday the boo texted me taking about some, he posted a vid on facebook. Sir, what???! Its chuck full of relationship memories and pj morton music???!!!! I cried. :/
Last night he took me to a fondue concept restaurant which was Awesome. We decided that that particular establishment was making Mad money though! The portions weren't big and it was fairly simple. Four courses: Cheese, salad, meat, chocolate. Dip and enjoy (or cook, dip and enjoy for the meat) is pretty much the concept. The consumer Pays for that experience. It was fun though. The boo had us in the cut somewhere far away from the screaming women there for 'ladies night' o__0. Roses and a card were on the table when we arrived...just awesome.
Right now, at....eight in the morning central time....me and AA are up jamming to Love God Love People while she does her hair. Lol. My uterus is kicking my tail so I'm Really considering buying some tennis shoes so I can go walking with her in.a bit. :/ What are we doing today....??? B is off!! Party time!!
K bye

Oh...Hi.

I'm back!!! I realize I've been gone for like...EVER. Yes, I do have a blogging app on my phone but seeing that I'm, *this much* away from utterly HATING my phone, that's not a viable option. :)

A few major things happened while I've been away.
1) My computer got stolen out of my car in January (along with my GPS, Zune and other correlating chordage. :/ )
2)I DYED MY HAIR!!! No I didn't bleach it. I'm NEVAH doing that again. NO SUH. Well here's what happened. I initially dyed it myself with a Clairol Textures and Tones light copper or something. I only bought one box like an IDIOT. In my mind I was just going to do the front. But some how while putting the product in my hair I thought I had enough for more of my head. I Failed. The front was definitely lighter than the rest, which is what I wanted, but it wasn't the Color I wanted. It came out to a reddish kinda brown. Bleh. So fast forward a week later...And I got my friend to dye it again Properly with a Dark and Lovely Copper Bronze color. According to her Clairol "wasn't made for us." LOL. It was a bit shifty though. The only thing specifically marketed to black hair was the conditioner....which was Way too thick to do my locs any good.

(Sidenote: This post is taking a tad bit longer without a 'home' and 'end' key. What is up with That APPLE?? SMH)

I guess I can't add pics on here on this computer. *eyeroll* I guess I should get a Apple version or something. ....Let's see...

NOPE. Fail. Moving along...

3) I am Still having loose natural hair dreams. This is my 7th month of the loc'ing process and it is probably the Least stressed I've been in relation to my hair ever in my adult life, buuut....I'm really thinking of just cutting of my hair to the point of the new growth and just start over. The BF is not thrilled, but is supportive (which I am sooo grateful for !)  seeing that he Loves locs and especially loves them on me. He did however like my hair Before locs so...he'll be alright whichever way cause he's AWESOMENESS. I've never had short hair before though. I've had practically all the colors at some point in life but never above my chin short. And I want to experience that! I just know that I am going to try Hard to not be hard on myself if its not growing at the rate I Think it should or by a particular date *ahem*, etc, etc. SIGH. IDK.

My internet sucks...I've been trying to finish this post all day. Weigh in on the To Cut....or..Not To Cut decision.

Love you all!
