I got that hair steamer for the LOW

I heard of a new way from my high school mate turned coworker today!! INSTEAD of spending a Million dollars on a hair steamer *side eyes HEUTIFUL* you can try steaming your own hair! DIY Style!!! Wooo!! Let's get it!!! *breaks into 90's dance*

These were instructions:
After you wash your hair put in your fav deep condish. Get a hot wet towel (however you wanna do that, son), wrap that around ya head, slap on a shower cap and VOILA!! Oh, sit under the dryer. :) Apparently it gives her the same results as when she gets her hair steamed at the salon! I'm SO GONNA TRY IT!!! I'm taking out these coils TOMORROW. I don't know how people do it. My scalp is SCREAMING at me. I'm about to take sis' approach and go back to what I Know should work. Like how can not protecting your ends not work in retaining length? Maybe I'm scared of something actually happening.

*steps off soapbox*

Here we go again.

I'm sitting in the place that I swore I was going to be done with for a Long while. A beautician chair. Flat ironing my hair.

But Tiff?   Didn't you curse all things salon and color??!!

Yeah look. Honestly? I dunno what. I'm doing here. I could be doing the same level work that's being done... at this moment. At least I would've slapped some conditioner in my hair at some point at the house. Yeah.

But Tiff?? What the deuce kinda place are you in??!! Chile iono.

It turned out good though! I took a pic the next day after I curled it with flexirods over night. :)

Weekend Hair

I Finally took some pics of my hair from the weekend! I forget to do these things. My bad. But the following pics are post blowout from Friday! I just set them with blue eco-styler in medium sections, woke up, sprayed some oil sheen (I know, I know) took them out, separated and Ta-Da!!

I suck at making titles.

Hello out there!!! It is a Saturday night and guess what I'm doing?? Writing to You...Duh!! Aside from that I'm fighting the sleep HARDCORE. My weekend so far is so full of activity and lack of sleep that I am Currently foregoing a concert for one my favorite singers. Chantae Cann. Le sigh. It was a free cover tonight too! But alas, I didn't want to get gas, drive, pick up my girl, find parking, stand up for hours..*pushes brakes* Listen. I sang with my choir at one church, drove to another church to eat lunch, went to a hospital to do outreach, went to another church to sing...SIGH! There was a LOT of standing and walking involved. And guess what? I didn't have a change of shoes. I had on my most uncomfortable shoes on... for the longest I've had them on IN LIFE. My face by the end of the day ----> (-____-) Not very friendly.

But have no fear....

I will leave you with a vid of two of my favorite artists! :) The Funcpunks and Chantae Cann...Together!! Sadly, neither of them have actual cd's out. Chantae does  have an EP though. -The Light- Check it out! Her voice is amazingly calming and just *Ahhhh*. Seeing her live is WAY better though. I guess I could add some vids of stuff I've taped live also.

World Natural Hair Show (Vid)

WORLD NATURAL HAIR HAIR AND BEAUTY...blah blah blah..WOO!!!

The World Natural Hair show was GREATNESS!!! Me and Neelah (my roll-dog for the day) drove the distance to the venue, parked without much trouble, stood in line for a pretty short time, walked in and were instantly  overwhelmed!! There were So many Booths, products, negros forcing flyers on you, youtube and blog celebrities....SMH. You really should check it out for yourself next year! Whether you're natural, thinking about transitioning, or relaxed and curious  you Should! Its a very humbling and eye-opening experience!! I tried to get my mom to come with me (multiple times) but she flat out refused. lol. The natural hair 'movement' is just silly to her. [Even though I've been helping her transition for a year!!] Gotta love that lady anyway. :)

The highlight would be meeting Black Onyx. She is SO SWEET guys! Very knowledgeable about her products and very concerned about Not supporting PJism, but leading customers towards what their hair Needs based on their stated concerns. She took the time to talk to everyone that came to her Very organized booth complete with her full line of hair care products, jewelry, cutely packaged samples...the works! She had a team with matching company shirts and the girls had the CUTEST hair bows!!! I Will be buying one. OMG. I took a pic. :)  I'm going to make a vid about the FEW things I got at show also. So stay tuned!
